Conor McGregor seems to be scouting his options for an eventual comeback. However, it is uncertain as to when he will make his return due to the ongoing USADA complications. Nonetheless, he already has a plan in mind and that includes fighting one of his former rivals.
The former UFC double champion has had some of the most engaging rivalries with some of the biggest UFC fighters ever. However, none of them was more entertaining than his rivalry with Nate Diaz. ‘The Notorious’ recently shared a series of tweets expressing his interest in fighting the Stockton native in a trilogy fight.

After Justin Gaethje‘s win over Dustin Poirier at UFC 291, Conor McGregor shared a few tweets regarding his urge to fight for the BMF belt. However, ‘The Highlight’ initially turned down that offer, but later declared his wish to do the same. Both fighters verbally agreed to a fight, and we are yet to know how that will pan out. Meanwhile, ‘The Notorious’, who’s been asking for a trilogy fight against former rival Nate Diaz, doubled down on that fight yet again.

Nate Diaz is currently gearing up for his boxing match against Jake Paul. But Conor McGregor is not a fan of that fight. Regardless, he has asked the Stockton native to get done with his boxing match and then they can talk about the trilogy fight with the BMF title on the line.
The Irishman said, “Regardless of that nonsense match me and Nate will be completing the trilogy. I am going to grab that BMF belt right quick for us to compete for it in the trilogy.”

As time went on, the chances of that fight happening diminished, with McGregor failing to enlist in the USADA’s testing pool. However, it is now clear that the Irishman has no interest in fighting Michael Chandler. In one of those deleted tweets, McGregor said, “F*** Chandler.”
While Conor McGregor may have hinted at his potential opponents, Dana White is yet to confirm any of those matchups. Meanwhile, there are rumors that the former double champion might make his return by the end of the year. We will have to wait and see if that really comes to fruition.
