Conor McGregor has crossed over to other sports in the past. Back in 2017, he stepped up to challenge Floyd Mayweather in the ring. It was an arduous task to even put up a fight against ‘TBE,’ let alone win. Yet, McGregor gave his best show, though he was defeated. According to Trout, he would similarly defeat McGregor, if not worse, and made it known in an interview.

Reflecting on McGregor’s involvement in BKFC, he said, “I don’t know, man. I think they’re because the BKFC is growing, you know, they’re just one gross spread away from locking in a Conor McGregor fight.” Moreoverwhen asked about a potential match-up with him, he said, “I’d definitely whoop him worse than Floyd did. That would be great for my legacy too.”

It is safe to say that the welterweight champion welcomes this bout with open arms. Not to mention, McGregor himself, while squaring off with Mike Perry inside the BFC ring, expressed his interest. So, we will see the two fight in the future? Time will reveal. Until then, let’s take a look at the opportunities for McGregor in BKFC.

BKFC president on opportunities for McGregor in the promotion

McGregor is a massive draw in all of combat sports. Hence, any promotion would invite him on board to compete and raise revenue, including the president of BKFC, David Feldman. In an interview with Mike Perry, the former UFC welterweight revealed that the president is willing to give any price to UFC stars like Jorge Masvidal and McGregor to compete under his banner.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani, Perry said, “(BKFC President) David Feldman, he’s no joke. What’d he say to Conor? ‘Dude I’ll give you any amount of money you want,’ and probably the same thing goes for a Masvidal.”
