Mike Perry believes that McGregor was a difficult challenge for Nurmagomedov who dominated him in the ground game. However, how much truth is there to it? McGregor certainly didn’t go down easy, he had to be beaten, out struck and most importantly, wrestled to the death. Here’s what Perry recently said about the fight.Mike Perry on Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov
Mike Perry is the king of bare knuckle boxing. He recently squared up with Conor McGregor for good times sake and in a recent interview, that was brought up. Perry spoke profoundly about ‘The Notorious’ branding him a brilliant fighter who could counter the wrestling of Chad Mendes at UFC 189.
McGregor won that fight via knockout in the second round. However, with Nurmagomedov, the story was different. While McGregor certainly landed good strikes, it wasn’t enough to keep ‘The Eagle’ at bay. The Dagestani wrestler took McGregor down on numerous occasions almost at will
“Chad (Mendes) could wrestle and Chad took Connor down,” Perry said. “But Connor can grapple he really can he gave you know he gave Khabib some of the best scrambles.” And Perry isn’t wrong. McGregor is a good fighter. He’s famously one of the few fighters to even win a single round against Khabib. However, in the end, it looked like a done deal for him. Nurmagomedov infamously gave him a lesson in ground-and-pound.
“Let’s talk now,” are three words that may ring in the ears of UFC fans for ages to come. But then again, Nurmagomedov is one of MMA’s GOATs, McGregor may fare better against his next opponent, Michael Chandler.ADVERTISEMENT

Chandler on the other hand looks like he’s getting impatient. On multiple occasions, he’s given interviews and spoken about the odds of McGregor actually dodging him and fighting someone else instead. At this point, it could totally happen. The silence from Dana White and ‘The Notorious’ could only mean a few things. Is the Irishman trying to get inside Chandler’s head? If yes, it may just do the trick. What are your thoughts?
