Former dual-champion Conor McGregor has been waiting for a long time to return to the Octagon. After recovering from a devastating leg injury, the Dubliner was all set to take on Michael Chandler at UFC 303. However, an injury to his Pinky Toe forced him out of the clash. Since then, ‘Mystic Mac’ has been waiting for the announcement of his new opponent as ‘Iron Mike’ is now scheduled to take on Charles Oliveira at UFC 309.
Unfortunately for the fight fans, the Irishman has only two fights left on his current contract. Does he have any plans after his UFC career? It seems he has found a special liking for BKFC and wants to try his hands at it.

There are very few fighters in the UFC who have such a meteoric rise like Conor McGregor. However, he now finds himself in the twilight of his career and has already started looking for new avenues. One such path leads to the prospect of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship aka BKFC, where the Dubliner has now become an investor. On 27 April at BKFC KnuckleMania 4, ‘Mystic Mac’ confirmed the news. McGregor Sports and Entertainment company is now an investor in BKFC, whilst Triller. Inc. retains its majority ownership status.
In a video message during the live KnuckleMania 4 broadcast in Los Angeles, McGregor announced his arrival with a unique message. He said, “Ladies and gentlemen, the huge announcement that I have for you today, Conor McGregor myself and McGregor Sports and Entertainment is now an owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships.” But it seems he is now planning to make a career out of it once his contract with UFC runs out. This signals that the Irishman’s journey may be coming to an end as far as the UFC is concerned.
After the BKFC Marbella Fight Week, McGregor seemed super excited after watching the fights. However, during an interview with JN MEDIAUK, he shared his honest opinion about his future at BKFC. The reporter asked him, “You’ve got serious passion. Would you like to fight out your two fights in the UFC contract and then go bare knuckle? Is that where you’re right now? McGregor had no hesitation in responding to the question with a prompt “Yes”.

With the company slowly starting to reach new heights, McGregor also has some stern words for his competitors. He drove the final nail in the coffin to silence the critics during an interview with YouTuber JNmediaUK at the BKFC on DAZN event. McGregor said, “No one messes with bare-knuckle champions, not to mess with me. You hear that? Me neither! No one speaks ill of a bare-knuckle world champion because you can’t, baby. That’s how it is. These are the baddest men and women on planet Earth, and I’m proud and honored to be here representing them.”
Currently, the UFC has yet to announce any date for his return, and the fans hope to see him in action soon. McGregor is also disappointed with the way he has been treated and has been showing his anger with some posts on social media.
