There is certainly no love lost between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. The legendary arch-nemesis duo never fails to let their feelings known about each other. In its latest saga, the Irishman is once again in the news and for all the wrong reasons, stemming from an interaction he had with a UFC fan, who appeared to be a huge Nurmagomedov fan.
The fan in question was a male who kept chanting Khabib Nurmagomedov’s name, yelling, “Let’s go, Khabib.” As expected, he was successful in drawing McGregor’s attention. However, it was not the kind of interaction that the fan would have hoped for as the Dubliner took the chant personally, given the history between him and ‘The Eagle’.
After hearing the chants, Conor McGregor, who was with his entourage, walked up to the fan and proceeded to spit directly at his face. “I spit in your face. What you do? Nothing,” he said to the fan. Having dealt with a litany of legal issues recently, ‘The Notorious’ could find himself in yet another hubbub. Why? Because spitting on someone is considered a criminal offense.

For context, spitting on someone is generally considered as battery or assault in almost every country in the world. Hence, Conor McGregor could face another lawsuit only if the fan chooses to go down the legal route and sue the former UFC double champion. Well, he might have spit on a fan’s face this time, things once got very physical when McGregor chose to punch a senior citizen a few years ago.

Conor McGregor once punched a man for not liking his whisky
Back in 2019, Conor McGregor made waves in the news when a story broke out that he had punched an old man for what many people would claim as a silly reason. He was at the Marble Arch Pub in Dublin when ‘The Notorious’ found himself engaged in a quarrel because the man didn’t share the same sentiment about the Proper 12 whiskey. This led McGregor to attack the man with a left-handed punch because the victim declined his offer to have a taste of his former whisky brand.

As anyone would expect, a lawsuit followed, and, after an investigation, the court slapped Conor McGregor with an assault charge. The incident happened during a time when the Irishman was at a low point in his fighting career, since he had lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov a few months prior, and the lawsuit was just another low for him.
