Conor McGregor is a two-division champ and an all-time troll. McGregor is not about to lose his sense of humor when dragging fighters’ names through the mud. So ahead of a potential and much-touted match against Michael Chandler, how could the Irishman hold back?

After McGregor updated his fans about his shape and current condition moving forward, he went back to his trolling ways. The fighter took to X to share a voice note in true ‘Notorious’ fashion to mock Chandler quite literally. Fans could really not be more entertained. Here’s it all.

McGregor took to X to recall some of Chandler’s previous shots fired at him. He turned his voice all the way up and changed to an American accent to say, “Conor Mcgregor, you’ve gotta come back and fight somebody, I am the most entertaining lightweight on this planet.” His words were the exact same as what Chandler said in a post-match fight from the Octagon.

The quote backs to UFC 274. After putting Tony Fergusson on the ground with a devastating knockout, Chandler was all the hype. He ran around and climbed the cage in celebration to look over at the cheering crowd. When Joe Rogan stepped inside the cage to interview him, he said those exact lines.

Now, the fight between the two hangs in a balance. McGregor has been training, with his usual updates to fans, that much is evident. More importantly, his samples are being tested by the USADA, a company that will soon part ways with the UFC.

So, the return date for ‘The Notorious’ is hyped up to be April 2024. All at UFC 300. However, with all this chatting and mocking, will the two really sign the contract any time soon? So far there’s only been the callouts and the teasing from both the fighters. Can fans hope that the two actually get in the cage together?

The two really stood up against one another at The Ultimate Fighter where both of them were coaches. McGregor earlier suggested that the fight will go down in 2023, however, everyone knows how that went. Now, with a date set for UFC 300, will they really fight? What could go wrong? Here’s what.

The thing is, Michael Chandler has been inactive for a while waiting on McGregor. And fighters can only stay away from the cage for so long if they want their career to flourish. If he takes up another fight right before McGregor then the fight is near doomed. McGregor on the other hand is still not out of the dark. The fighter has never failed a drug test and probably won’t in the future. Nevertheless, he’s well set to stay home until April.
