Can Sean O'Malley handle Conor McGregor's challenge, or is he all talk and no action?

UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley seems to have irked former dual weight champion Conor McGregor while replying to his post in X. They have had previous beef as well, even though ‘Suga’ used to idolize ‘The Notorious’ once upon a time. McGregor had previously started a tirade of insults on Ryan Garcia after he got a positive test for the banned substance ostarine. In the same argument, O’Malley also got caught after McGregor decided it would be a good idea to pair him alongside Garcia because the champion tested positive for the same substance in 2019.

It seems that the feud will run long, as ‘Suga’ recently commented on a sparring video of McGregor and the comments were not nice, to say the least.

The bantamweight champion decided to react to Conor Mcgregor’s recent sparring video on X. The champion was not impressed by the practice and ensured to speak his mind through a short message. He wrote, “Slow and sloppy.” Meanwhile, ‘The Notorious’ was also ready to fire back and said, “Throw the same shot on the pads and let’s see your version, lad. That would unalive a motherf**er for real, that shot. It’s nice to work, cheer up.”

While O’Malley has called himself a huge fan of McGregor in the past, he has not been on good terms with the Irishman after the feud with Ryan Garcia. Since ‘Sugar’ also tested positive for ostarine in 2019, his idol slammed him and he did not like that. Along with insulting his sparring session, O’Malley had also pointed out that the Irishman was not as skilled as he had thought before and said that he could beat the UFC champ.

O’Malley has continued his shade at McGregor even ahead of the Noche UFC, which is going to be Dana White’s most ambitious event yet. UFC 306 has O’Malley vs Merab Dvalishvili in the cards and will be held at The Sphere. Let’s see what Sugar had to say.

Before this confirmation, which included ‘Suga’, there was a rumor that McGregor would be one of the names for UFC Noche. He took a jibe at McGregor saying that great fighters like ‘Mystic Mac’ wanted a place in UFC 306 and yet it is he who is headlining the event. “Ilia, Max, were pushing for the fight. Conor wanted in on the sphere, Chandler wanted the sphere, everybody in the UFC wants the sphere because its going to happen one time and one time only. Supposedly this event is never going to happen ever again and I get to headline it,” claimed the fighter.

This upcoming fight is promising a huge affair and will thrill the fans by combining top-notch fighters and fight cards. After this event, do you think McGregor and O’Malley might have a bout against each other in the future? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
