Conor McGregor, like almost all of the UFC world, wants to see Alex Pereira get a shot at becoming the UFC’s first three-division champion. ‘Poatan’, of course, had called for a heavyweight title shot after both of his previous wins this year. After his UFC 307 victory over Khalil Rountree, however, the light heavyweight champion expressed his satisfaction at continuing to defend his title.
McGregor, on the other hand, was screaming at the TV for Pereira to demand a heavyweight title showdown against Jon Jones, has the perfect advice for Dana White and co. to get the Brazilian to move up. “PAY THE MAN!” ‘Mac’ wrote in a now-deleted X post after Pereira’s post-fight Octagon interview.
Or he may have meant that ‘Poatan’ after proving himself as a fearsome fighter deserves to cash in with a Jon Jones super-fight. It isn’t very clear what ‘Mac’ meant by the tweet. A Jones-Pereira fight, needless to say, would definitely be a runaway commercial success and make ‘Poatan’ much richer. And Conor McGregor thinks Pereira has earned it. What do you think?
