Anything with Conor McGregor can rake in big numbers. And his PPV record in the UFC is clear proof of that. It appears ‘The Notorious’ has now eyed another league to dominate with his star presence: Dana White‘s upcoming Power Slap League. Earlier, McGregor sent out a tweet to his archrival Nate Diaz, challenging him for a title bout in this slap-driven sport. And given the iconic trilogy between the two is still overdue, this could be one way to complete the circle.
However, all of this is currently just talk. But the UFC great, Michael Bisping believes that if it were to truly happen, it would be the biggest event the world has ever witnessed in the history of combat sports. He believes, as bizarre as it all sounds, this matchup could serve as an ideal PPV event for the UFC fans, and further provided a reasonable justification for his claims, too.

In addition to outlining the potential slap battle between the two UFC icons in great detail, Bisping also offered some reasoning for why it could turn out to be the biggest thing imaginable.
Why McGregor vs. Diaz in a slap-fight could be the biggest thing
During the latest episode of his podcast, ‘Believe You Me’, Michael Bisping discussed the slap battle between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz in great depth. He then provided some justification for why it may be the greatest event in history. “For him and Nate, if Conor and Nate were to do a power slap, I’m telling you, that might be the most watched thing on planet Earth,” said the 43-year-old.
He further added what else he would expect from the event if it were to actually happen. “I mean, who’s not gonna watch that? Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz in the cage. I think I’d rather watch that. I would. But also, a little weird part of me wants to see them just stand there, talk sh*t and slap each other in the face.”
As thrilling as that all may seem, Bisping does have one little reservation about ‘The Notorious’, which, if it were to happen, may be a hindrance to this slap battle. And that might also be a subliminal dig at Conor McGregor, given the steroid controversy that surrounds him.
Michael Bisping feels Conor McGregor won’t cut weight
Assuming that a slap fight was to actually take place, Michael Bisping believes that Conor McGregor would have a shorthand in it due to his weight. Upon discussing this hypothetical battle, the UFC veteran asked his co-host, Mike Harrington, about who’d have the advantage in this bout. And Harrington responded, “Nate Diaz has the “Homer Simpson” gene, dude. You can’t knock the guy out.”

Bisping added to that by saying, “Yeah. True. But Conor McGregor, right now, would have a hard time making 170. In fact, he’s talking about 185. Because he’s built like a fridge.”
Now that was one subtle dig at Conor McGregor by Michael Bisping.
