Conor McGregor is the biggest superstar in the Straight Blast Gym in Ireland. The UFC superstar also has a very special relationship with the head coach at the SBG, coach John Kavanagh. The pair have been together since ‘The Notorious’s’ first days in the world of MMA. McGregor and Kavanagh became an iconic duo in the sport when they created history after McGregor became the first double champion in the UFC. Recently, Kavanagh‘s personal life took a happy turn as he got married in Ireland.

Kavanagh has always been on McGregor‘s side and has defended him for his actions in the public. He was also extensively excited during UFC 229 when his pupil faced the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Kavanagh shares pictures of the wedding:

Coach John Kavanagh got hitched to his long-term partner, Orlagh Hunter, on Mount Juliet Estate in Kilkenny. The photos of the event were shared by Kavanagh’s influencer brother James Kavanagh.

The beautiful setting took place at over 500 acres of land which spanned over Kilkenny in the Republic of Ireland. James shared pics of the beautiful couple having their first dance. Kavanagh wore a tuxedo while the bride wore a long gown.

The wedding party went into the late hours of the night and a toast was held for the bride and groom. The couple was in a relationship for many years and have a two-year-old son named Conal.

Conor McGregor failed to make an appearance

‘The Notorious’ is the most high-profile fighter that SBG and coach Kavanagh have in the gym. However, the UFC superstar failed to make an appearance at his coach’s wedding. However, the event had McGregor‘s famous Proper 12 in the drinks section of the menu. As a matter of fact, Coach Kavanagh served the ‘Proper Irish Whiskey’ to his guests.

Although McGregor did not show up to the wedding, coach Kavanagh’s other pupils did grace their presence at the wedding. Johnny Walker attended his coach’s most important day at Kilkenny.

After the family affair, Coach Kavanagh will be reuniting with his superstar fighter Conor McGregor to mount a comeback into the UFC. Moreover, the fans have to wait for some time in 2023 for the Irish duo to perform in the octagon.
