He is currently recovering from the freak leg break he suffered at UFC 264 in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier. While many have been critical of his chances of making a successful comeback to the sport of MMA, it seems like ‘The Notorious’ is more than determined to be back on track by 2022.

Who will Conor McGregor fight upon his return?

The fourth fight against Poirier has been tipped by fans to happen at some point in time. But with ‘The Diamond’ set to challenge Charles Oliveira for the lightweight belt next, the chances of him facing McGregor anytime soon are slim to none.

It will be interesting to see who the UFC matches him up against once he is fit and raring to go. Also, how actually he can perform after such a horrific injury is something that the fans will keep an eye on. Nevertheless, it is a long road to recovery for McGregor and one should not expect the Irishman to be back in action before the latter half of 2022.
