UFC 278 saw the rise of another contender in Merab Dvalishvili. The Georgian took on Jose Aldo in a three-round bout.
Conor McGregor was quick to give his reaction to the fight. The Notorious took on Twitter to express his thought.
Leaned his way to victory. Refs need to separate stale positions quicker. Especially if happening repeatedly. Earlier each time. It’s fighting guys! Not saying anything on Mirab he done what he had to / won the match. The ref should separate tho to potentially get a real finish.

Conor’s History with Aldo
Conor once shared a heated rivalry with the Brazilian. The pair fought at UFC 194 where The Irishman KO’d Aldo in 13secs and won the Featherweight belt from him.
Since then Conor has been very respectful towards Junior. He’s shown his support on multiple occasions before his fights.
UFC 278: HOW DID THE FIGHT PLAY OUT
As far as the fight goes, it was a back-and-forth battle between Aldo and Merab. The first two rounds were rather competitive. In the third, it was clear that Merab was taking over.
Aldo displayed some sharp striking. His knees up the middle were also landing but Merab’s grueling style of wrestling and clinch work proved to be a hand full for the Brazilian.
Merab Dvalishvili won via Unanimous Decision.

Aldo who was ranked three would most probably be replaced by Merab who was 6th in the bantamweight division, before going into the fight.
