Nevertheless, ‘The Notorious’ isn’t happy with the way things turned out and shared a message on social media ahead of UFC 303.

Following the press event in Dublin getting scrapped on short notice and in abrupt fashion, fans and MMA pundits alike quickly started speculating that Conor McGregor’s return may have gone straight to the bin. And they were not wrong, but while some speculated that he might have been going to rehab like Chael Sonnen, the Irishman revealed that he was actually injured, and now, he’s still dealing with a lot of struggles as per his recent tweet.

While claiming to be in a deep mental and physical struggle, Conor McGregor stated, “I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t in deep pain right now watching fight week take place. Deep mental pain,” he tweeted. Nevertheless, McGregor has kept an eye out for the fans. A lot of fans who’ve shown support for him all the way, from the announcement of the fight to its cancelation, have earned the Irishman’s acknowledgment. As such, he expressed his gratitude towards them as well.

“Thank you for the messages of support and encouragement, my peers and fans,” Conor McGregor added. It remains to be seen how long he’ll be on the sidelines and when Dana White decides to drop the re-scheduled date for the big-money fight that fans are waiting for.
