The UFC megastar will make his return to competition in a scrap against Dustin Poirier in early 2021. Although the stakes aren’t confirmed, some speculate that it could be for Khabib Nurmagomedov’s soon to be vacant lightweight title. The UFC would undoubtedly like to have their biggest star with a belt on his shoulder.
McGregor last competed back in January 2020 against Donald Cerrone and he obliterated ‘Cowboy’ in merely 40 seconds. The megastar looked sharp on the feet, and his ability to pull the trigger was on full display. Conor McGregor has also shown an interest to eventually capture the welterweight title, which would truly be an unprecedented feat as he would become the first three-division champion.
