‘Notorious’ shared the stats on his Instagram handle and added a 5 worded message for everyone “Irish Man, Irish Whiskey, Authenticity” McGregor sold ‘Proper Twelve’ brand to Proximo Spirits for a whopping $600 million back in 2021. It was one of the biggest deals of his life and it made him one of the wealthiest athletes of that time. Previously Proximo held 49% of the brand, however after the deal they became one of the biggest owners of it but McGregor and his team had their rights over it.

Mike Keyes, Proximo’s CEO in a statement stated that the promotion for the brand would go as it is. “Since introducing this brand with Conor and his partners just two and a half years ago, Proper No. Twelve has been the most exciting brand in the Irish whiskey category. The brand continues to grow at an unprecedented rate, and this agreement reflects Proximo’s commitment to expanding its presence in the whiskey category as a whole.”  Keyes’s words seem to hold the truth as even after three years since their takeover, ‘Proper Twelve’ continues to be a strong brand.
