Recently, the ‘Notorious’ stood before the Blanchardstown District Court for his hearing. The fighter has six driving offences against him. However, the defendant required some additional time for practical purposes.
Hearing about Conor McGregor pushed to 2023
Conor McGregor was charged with two counts of dangerous driving, driving without insurance and license, failure to produce a license and insurance, and careless driving. With a total of six charges, the former UFC champion was arrested in March 2022.
The arrest was made on account of dangerous driving in Ireland. He was stopped by the Gardai in West Dublin, while allegedly breaking several laws in his Bentley Continental GT. McGregor was later released on bail but had to appear for a hearing.
The former double champion came dressed in a slick navy-blue suit to the Blanchardstown District Court, on the morning of his hearing. He was indeed dressed to impress. However, McGregor’s barrister, David Staunton, called for the adjournment of the court for early 2023. The motive behind his act was to make a ‘proposal to the prosecution’.
Although the barrister was reluctant to occupy another date for the hearing, Judge David McHugh, after the defendant’s proposal, pushed the date to January 11, 2023. The judge claimed this would be the precise date for the matter to be ‘disposed of’.
Undeniably, the fighter was utterly quiet inside the court. However, once outside, he said, “All good, guys, all good. Lovely day. Great to be back.”
Previous charges against the fighter
However, this is not the first time the ‘Notorious’ has broken traffic rules. Previously in 2018, the former UFC champion lost his driving license and had to pay a fine, after he was caught speeding.
The first arrest was made while the ‘Notorious’ and his friends attacked a moving bus. Without a doubt, the bus included McGregor’s rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The second arrest was made when the Dubliner allegedly took a man’s phone and destroyed it. However, all criminal charges were dropped related to this incident. This case was settled outside the court walls.
Thus, the fighter has been in quite a lot of trouble.
