Conor McGregor has shown his appreciation not only for the gloves but for the way that they will be utilized within the UFC. The red gloves, TUF gloves and the blue Contender Series gloves will all be given to the fighters on their “road” to the UFC.
The UFC wants to create a “journey” for their athletes coming into the organization. So there will be a system where the ‘Gun-Metal’ variant won’t be given to anyone until their time to shine has arrived. Conor McGregor, however, will likely fight in the normal version of these once he returns.
