Conor McGregor Expected to Reach Dwayne Johnson and Ice Cube-Like Success as UFC Star Achieves Massive Accomplishment Ahead of Jake Gyllenhaal’s ‘Roadhouse’

Conor McGregor is a star in the cage and now, a star on the silver screen. That’s right, McGregor is in high movie star spirits after working with Jake Gyllenhall for his next movie, Road House. And to elevate his spirits further, a leading Hollywood publication has predicted his future and it’s all written in gold.

McGregor hasn’t done many major roles in feature films. However, his future is still predicted to be bright. Does it have to do with the Irishman’s MMA star status? Perhaps the higher-ups in Hollywood were impressed with his acting skills after working in films like XXX: Return of Xander Cage. Here’s everything you need to know.

Every generation has its action stars. Before Keanu Reeves took over hearts as John Wick and before Jason Statham’s Transporter, there were The Terminator and Rambo. The spirit of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone is to be carried on by someone. But is that someone going to be Conor McGregor?

Recently, The Hollywood Reporter published a list of 25 action heroes who will be icons of this generation. Among names like Ana de Armas and The Boys’ Jack Quaid was UFC’s very own, ‘The Notorious’. He’s predicted to slowly take over the action-acting world with roles of his to come.

The fighter’s biggest role is one that is yet to grace the screen. In a reimagining of the 1989 flick, the new Road House may well center around a character that knows MMA. Gyllenhaal has filmed scenes inside the Octagon in front of a live audience and weighed in in front of the press too. Now, he’ll share the screen with the Irishman for good.

Perhaps it’s only good news for McGregor. First, a much-touted UFC return, then perhaps even more roles in films. The fighter has previously been declared the highest-paid athlete on the planet by Forbes magazine back in 2021. Here’s how fans reacted to the fighter making the list.

Fans on Instagram could not hold back either their criticism or their excitement for the fighter’s future. There were some who fought the idea of him on the list with logic while others welcomed it all with open arms.

“Could definitely see him becoming the likes of Ice Cube and The Rock”

“He’s a great character tbf so not surprised at all.”

While some weren’t surprised, others couldn’t believe it.

“He’s not even been in a movie that’s come out yet lol wtf”

Many compared him to another UFC fighter.

Some just poked fun at McGregor’s lasting injury. Perhaps a call from Marvel could fix it all.

Finally, some had their very own predictions about his future films.

“No traction at box office I guarantee it. I worked in motion picture marketing for decades.”
