The BKFC announced their latest partnership at their recently concluded KnuckleMania 4 event. David Feldman took the opportunity to introduce their fans to one of their new part owners. While the news received a lot of cheer from the fans, Brendan Schaub feels this part ownership can be a problem for his ex-teammate Artem Lobov.

The former UFC fighter said on the podcast ‘Thicc Boy’, “Conor said the only reason he got involved was to fire Artem. Remember his issue with Artem? They are like how’s petty is this? Obviously, it’s not but it’s funny. Yeah definitely has more pole than you know most people. Conor doesn’t like you, you got problems. Especially if he’s a part owner in the league that you work for, it could be a problem.”

Artem Lobov and Conor McGregor were once training partners and also the best of friends. Such was the friendship that the Dubliner once flew to New York to confront Khabib Nurmagomedov for slapping Lobov. However, things took a completely new turn after the success of McGregor’s whiskey brand, Proper Twelve. In 2021, McGregor and his other co-founders sold their majority stake for $600 million. This is where their friendship took a toll as Lobov wanted 5% of the sale purchase. Things since then have always been sour between the former friends. However, it will be interesting to see whether McGregor fires Lobov now.

During his absence from the UFC Octagon, there were rumors that ‘Mystic Mac’ might compete in the BKFC next. However, things took a completely new turn with his latest announcement. BKFC is already on the rise because of its ability to set up exciting fights for its fans. With McGregor on their side now, the promotion can expect far more audience than they already have. But the former dual champion has already found a new rival in the BKFC.

Mike Perry issues a warning to Conor McGregor after his latest partnership with BKFC

Mike Perry stole the show at KnuckleMania 4 despite the presence of Conor McGregor. The former UFC fighter put on a show for the fans and defeated Thiago Alves with an impressive left hand. However, things got much more heated in his post-fight interview. ‘Platinum’ called out Conor McGregor for a fight after he became a part owner with the BKFC. The pair has had a bit of rivalry in the past and they even squared off inside the ring following the events of BKFC 41. However, the face-off only ended with McGregor putting the BKFC belt over his shoulders. Now, in his recent interview with Helen Yee, the 32-year-old issued a warning for ‘Mystic Mac’.

Perry called him out and said, “Conor about the money! And so am I. And I mean, he don’t even need to come and fight for money. But, he know he was intrigued and would like to- And I’m hittable, right. You can hit me. You better practice punching bricks, motherf***er.” The fight seems to be a far-fetched dream, as McGregor is still under the UFC contract.

However, with just two fights left in his contract, things can line up in the future. Do you think ‘The Notorious’ one would feature in BKFC ever? Let us know in the comments below.
