Not being able to carry a flag while walking to the octagon could change a crucial aspect of certain fighters who take pride in what their country represents. One of the most iconic fighters to walk out with a national flag is the UFC’s biggest star, Conor McGregor, who wears the Irish national flag with nothing but pride.

Other fighters such as Marlon Vera, Belal Muhammad, and Colby Covington are also known to walk out with their national flags.

In an interview, Ecuadorian UFC sensation Marlon Vera talked about how the promotion told him he could not carry his flag for his walkout against Rob Font.
