Being a superstar in the MMA world, Conor McGregor has seldom escaped from the netizens’ view. Needless to say, the entire globe has eagerly waited for a long time to see the Irish mixed martial artist grace the Octagon. After all, it has been about 3 years since the Dubliner last fought and more than 4 years since his last victory. Now that McGregor has gained some muscles and bulked up, he can easily enter the welterweight division. But that class has the champion eyeing a fight against the Dubliner.

Belal Muhammad has once again struck the match against McGregor. After calling out the ‘Mystic Mac’ in an interview, the Palestinian champion dug up a 2-year-old tweet and attacked McGregor’s inactivity in the UFC.

Back in 2022, right after Sean O’Malley defeated Petr Yan via a unanimous decision at UFC 280, Muhammad sent forth a tweet that attacked the ‘Mystic Mac’. He wrote, “Rewatched the O’Malley yan fight 3 times and I think that at the end of the day Conor sucks snd wont win another fight.”

Little did the UFC welterweight champion know that his words will hold true for 2 more years. Even though McGregor was slated to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303, the fight never materialized owing to the Irish fighter’s broken pinky toe. After all, being a striker, it was pretty important for ‘The Notorious’ to stay agile on his feet. And his withdrawal caused quite an uproar in the MMA realm.

Now, as the 32 teams begin to clash in this year’s National Football League, Muhammad decided to take yet another jab at the former UFC double champion. The Palestinian fighter took to X and wrote, “Belal: I know everyone’s excited the NFL season starts tomorrow but don’t let it distract you from the fact that Conor mcgregor hasn’t won a fight In 4 years and he sucks.”

McGregor’s lack of fights didn’t stop him from making Muhammad crave a showdown with him. But it’s just because of McGregor’s star factor. However, the same star factor won’t help McGregor to get an immediate title shot upon his return.

‘Remember The Name’ won’t let ‘The Notorious’ cut the line

Muhammad is already being targeted by Shavkat Rakhmonov and Kamaru Usman for his first-ever title defense. However, talks about ‘The Notorious’ entering the welterweight division raised some eyebrows at the possibility of him fighting Muhammad for the belt. No doubt, the Irishman’s stardom is the nectar that has attracted a boatload of fighters and Muhammad is one of them. But he wouldn’t let McGregor cut the line.

Talking to Submission Radio, the WW champ said, “I don’t think he’ll look good at 170. Dud doesn’t look good in life right now. He looks like he is co–d out, looks like he is on dr–s. I mean if he beats Michael Chandler, I wouldn’t even let him skip the line. Because, like I said, there are guys that work for it. There are guys that got here…”

Muhammad pointed out that he wasn’t happy when he had to skip Colby Covington and fight Leon Edwards for the title. But when it comes to building a legacy and entering the book of legends, fighting McGregor was one of the fastest roads. “For legacy-wise, obviously, I would want to slap Conor around,” Muhammad confirmed.
