Does McGregor's latest jab at Khabib reignite the greatest UFC rivalry of all time?

The fans of Conor McGregor may be on another level. Being one of the owners, the Irishman recently made an appearance at the BKFC 67 press conference in Spain, where he bumped into a reporter during the press conference who was impersonating him, and guess what? ‘The Notorious’ had a hilarious reaction to the reporter. Conor McGregor recently made a statement that Dana White might not necessarily be a fan of. “I’m not up here just as an owner,” said the 36-year-old at the aforementioned press conference. That may have created a shockwave across the MMA community, but guess what? The impersonation also stole the show, as the reporter took a swipe at Khabib Nurmagomedov and McGregor dropped his famous one-liner.

The unnamed reporter took shots at Khabib Nurmagomedov and his legal problems in Russia. Jibing that ‘The Eagle’ may need some money to pay the Russian authorities, he asked if Conor McGregor had any wish to run it again with Nurmagomedov. The reporter said, “There is a well-known rat, owes his b*ll*ks off to the Russian government. Would you get that man to BKFC? That man needed a dollar or two. He clearly needs that money to pay the Russian government.”

The Irishman appeared to chuckle a bit before responding by dropping the catchphrase that he used on Jeremy Stephens. He said, “Sounds like I’m talking, I don’t know. Who the f*** is that guy? [laughs hysterically].” When it came to answering the question, he cited how Khabib Nurmagomedov retired early and said, “The guy won’t even fight, come on.” Meanwhile, McGregor made one more thing clear about his decision to become an owner of BKFC.

BKFC seems to ‘attract’ Conor McGregor, in his own words. But why? Well, even though bringing in Khabib Nurmagomedov is probably next to impossible, he loves the roster that the bar-knuckle outfit possesses. Also, the 36-year-old seems to have developed an affinity with the BKFC fighters. “These are bad men and women in this f***ing company. For real,” he added.

This, however, isn’t the first time that McGregor has witnessed impersonators because it also happened in his hometown once.

Have an interesting take?

While soccer legends, like Robbie Keane, have their place on the list of some of Ireland’s greatest athletes, Conor McGregor is arguably the most famous of them all, especially because of the cult-like following in his native country. A few years ago, a couple of his fans, apparently intoxicated, decided to show their best McGregor impressions, imitating his fighting stance on the streets of Dublin. They could have never thought that they were in for a surprise.

Just then, a black SUV stopped near one of the drunk individuals, only to find out it was the man himself, Conor McGregor. The UFC superstar exchanged a bit of light-hearted banter and fist-bumped his impersonators before driving away with a smile. Meanwhile, this time, the impersonation came at his arch-rival’s expense, which he seemed to enjoy a bit more than he did last time.
