“The Notorious” Conor McGregor has been pretty restless for some time, demanding the UFC fight to make his long-awaited return to the octagon. Despite his persistence, the UFC superstar and the promotion have been unable to find the right event for the 35-year-old. Now, with two fights still left in his promotion, where will it leave the former double champ?

Conor McGregor has been busy for the past few weeks, making his rounds promoting his upcoming movie. While most fans seemed to have given up hope of seeing the Irishman return to the UFC for a fight, However, a recent interview has lit the hopes back for fight fans.

The former UFC double champion has gone through all emotions, being left in the dark while asking to make a return to the cage. However, Dana White and the promotion have stayed silent and have been unsuccessful in finding the right UFC event for the UFC lightweight to return. During a recent interview with talkSPORT, McGregor voiced his disappointment with the promotion.

During the interview with Adam Catterall, McGregor said, “I hope we get some clarity with a date, and I can push towards it. I’m sure we will get something in by year-end. You know that’s what I’m all about.”

With two fights left in his contract, McGregor claimed that he looks to make his return to the promotion on June 29th. “The Nototious” has also shown interest in fighting at the hyped “Sphere.” The Irishman has also named a few fighters whom he would like to make his return to the octagon against.

The debuting actor of “Road House” made it crystal clear who he wished to fight on his return to the UFC. McGregor, despite being away from action for over two years, still holds star power like none other. On his return to the UFC, he picked out three names that would fit in for their fight.

McGregor, during the same interview with talkSPORT, explained that he wished to take on Michael Chandler for his return, given how both fighters have been looking to fight each other over the past year. He also admitted wanting to clear off the trilogies against Nate Diaz and even Dustin Poirier, given how their third fight ended.
