Conor McGregor is one of the biggest names in the world of mixed martial arts and a global superstar. However, McGregor is also one of the most controversial personalities in the sport. He is known for his witty trash talking and his electrifying persona.

‘The Notorious’ has gotten into squabbles with celebrities outside the MMA world as well. Recently, the Irish fighter got into a back and forth of trash-talk with the two-time world heavyweight champion boxer, Tyson Fury.
As Fury and McGregor had a back and forth on social media, it is pretty clear to the fans that they are not fond of each other.

According to a report from Mirror, Fury admitted that his recent Twitter quarrel with McGregor was a ‘publicity stunt.’
He said in a press conference for his fight with Dillian Whyte, “Bit of a publicity stunt. Super Bowl weekend, all eyes on us.”

Fury added, “Beef? Man’s 10 stone [I’m] 20 stone behave yourselves, only beef we would have is me eating him in a beef sandwich.”
What’s next for Conor McGregor?
‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor has been out of action ever since his tragic loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The Irishman lost his trilogy bout against ‘The Diamond’, via TKO (doctors stoppage). He broke his leg in the bout, which had kept him sidelined from training and fighting for months.

The fighter is now back in the gym and is training to make a return to the UFC octagon this year. McGregor will most likely take on his former opponent, Nate Diaz, on his return.
As Diaz and McGregor have a long-standing rivalry and are 1-1 against each other, a trilogy bout would attract a great deal of attention for the UFC.
