The 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter surprised MMA fans in a number of ways. The crowd saw Conor McGregor as disappointing as a coach, as his team lost seven out of the eight bouts that they fought against the fighters of Michael Chandler‘s team. As the season’s end is nearing, the fight fans’ excitement at watching the bout between the coaches is also increasing day by day. However, there is no official confirmation that the bout between the Irishman and ‘Iron’ will take place any time soon. Until then, fans can enjoy McGregor’s on-screen presence throughout the show.

McGregor’s team faced some huge losses during TUF 31, but recently it was the fighters from Team Chandler that showcased poor performances. The semi-final bout mainly disappointed Conor McGregor and the UFC president, Dana White. Roosevelt Roberts and Austin Hubbard from Chandler’s team came face-to-face, and they failed to impress the UFC superstar and the UFC president.

In episode nine of TUF 31, Roosevelt Roberts and Austin Hubbard locked horns against each other in the semi-finals. The two lacked energy and put forth a lackluster performance. Most of the fighters on Team Chandler were able to surprise McGregor and White with their brilliant fighting skills. However, Roberts and Hubbard pathetically failed to impress them. The bout resulted in a split decision in favor of Austin Hubbard. However, before the result was announced, the Irishman said, “It’s hard to say, to be honest. I’m not sure. Very close. No one lost. No one won, in my opinion.”

Dana White agreed to McGregor, as he was as disappointed as the Irishman. White expected Roberts and Hubbard to put forth a ferocious fight, as the two were former UFC fighters who were released two years ago. This was a golden opportunity for them to find their way back to the world’s biggest MMA promotion. However, they ended up showing no desire to come back to the UFC.
