Conor McGregor has to return sometime. At least that’s what the fans are expecting after endless teasers and promises from ‘The Notorious’ himself. His run-in with the USADA certainly caused some issues but now he’s been tested and still no word? Or more like no official confirmation from the UFC or its head, Dana White.
Even ‘The Notorious’ himself was surprised by the UFC. In the ‘Day of Reckoning’ boxing event in Riyadh, when he was seated next to Cristiano Ronaldo, the UFC star could clearly be heard complaining about how the UFC wasn’t giving him a fight. Now, he has another update for fans.

Conor McGregor was recently asked in a Q&A session on Instagram about his return and in response, he told his fans that he’s hoping for June 29th to work out. June 29th was the date McGregor initially announced his return against Michael Chandler at middleweight.
Of course, that rumor was swiftly shut down by UFC head honcho Dana White who claimed that he hadn’t really heard from the Irishman. Conor McGregor has also previously noted how the lack of action made him lose enthusiasm for those notes. And now during his tour promoting his film ‘Road House,’ he has shared more updates on his return.
“I had a camp in Cannes, the south of France, had a camp in Dubai, world champions training with me where I was hoping for a December date, then a January date, and then it keeps getting pushed back,” he conveyed.
McGregor further added, “Then I lose interest and stop training for a while. Not stop training, I always train, but stop full training and and drinking a little bit. . . So I’m going to go back now regroup, get full tested, and get ready to rock so, and then the date’s going to come and then I’ll be ready to rock.”
Clearly, his return has been delayed for far too long but is Dana White truly the root of it all?
