Although the fight saw both fighters go at each other, Alvarez scored four knockdowns that led him to win his first BKFC fight. As Mendes and Alvarez landed punches at each other, he would sometimes shout instructions to both fighters.
Alvarez and Mendes claim that the Irishman was supporting both of them
The co-main eventers of BKFC 41 attended the post-fight press conference and talked about McGregor getting involved in their fight. Eddie Alvarez said that he believed the former double champion was rooting for him at first, but got confused later. Alvarez and Mendes also spoke to ‘Helen Yee Sports’ and expanded on what they said in the press conference. Mendes said, “I think I heard him once there towards the end, but that was pretty much it.” Then Alvarez repeated the same statement he made at the post-fight pressers. He said, “I thought He was yelling for me and I did something and I said, ‘Good Job’, to him. But I heard that he was telling him [Mendes] stuff. So I think he was playing both sides during the fight.”

Conor McGregor is known for shouting instructions to fighters while seated among the crowds. He did that for Jon Jones in his comeback fight against Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. He was also seen holding a BKFC title last evening, which made for more hilarious scenes. The Irishman never fails to make an impression wherever he goes.
