Conor McGregor‘s pinky toe injury derailed his anticipated return to the UFC at UFC 303. Yet that hasn’t stopped him from either spending his time on luxurious vacations or making appearances at MMA events, of course not the UFC 303. And as many could already guess, McGregor’s recent escapade has irked his long awaiting rival, Michael Chandler.
During the Bellator event, McGregor took the initiative to make sure that his voice was heard by his fans as he asserted that he would be returning as soon as possible, “It’s keeping me focused, you know. I can rock around like I’m showing up. The job is not done. That’s not bad for me, for someone like me, you know. A new date, and you know I will take my lessons. A lapse in concentration. I have no footwork, and if I don’t rely on their skills, then I would be okay. Now I’m dialing it in. I’m walking in there 100%,” said McGregor.
‘Mystic Mac’s presence in the Bellator Dublin event appears to have annoyed Chandler. The former Bellator champion took to his X to take a dig out of McGregor. “Speaking of showing up to events. glad you finally made it to the 3Arena where the press conference was supposed to be on June 3rd. Sweet slippers. Who’s the Bellator tick now,” wrote Chandler.

Michael Chandler attempted to attack Conor McGregor verbally but it seems to have backfired on him as the entire MMA community called him out for being too obsessed with ‘Mystic Mac’
Fans roast Michael Chandler as he tries to call out Conor McGregor
Michael Chandler last fought back in 2022 against Dustin Poirier and it’s been approximately two years since he entered into the Octagon. Waiting for McGregor might have proved to be a bit terrible for him as his inconsistency is proving to be a liability for the promotion. Chandler’s state of affairs is a bit sad, to be honest, or at least that’s what one fan believes: “Its sad at this point for mike.”
Well, if we were to compare the net worth of both of the fighters then the difference is astronomical as McGregor is worth more than $200 million while Chandler’s net worth is around $5 million. A fight with McGregor would prove to be significant for ‘Mike’ but it would just be another fight for ‘Mystic Mac’, “The difference – only one of them needs to fight to make money Beg for the red panties and behave.”

Conor McGregor has been leading a fight with multiple people. He has Michael Chandler and even Manny Pacquiao as backup fights. However, he has yet to fight with them. A social media user asserted that he just does it for relevance but he never wants to fight: “Yeah it’s because Conor is deeply unserious about fighting again and he’s been leading people on for years to stay relevant. Stop talking about this dude til he files the retirement paperwork.”
Furthermore, a fan questioned McGregor’s toe injury- “Is the injury in the room with us right now?”
Moreover, a fan seems to be sure that McGregor’s toe injury is making it difficult for him to walk: “You can clearly see Conor struggle to walk on that broken toe.”

Last but not least, A fan added that Chandler’s desperate attempt at a McGregor fight is quite similar to Devin Haney’s cry to take back his ‘0’ from Ryan Garcia after ‘King Ry’ defeated him back in April: “Michael Chandler is crying for his red panty night like Devin Haney was crying to get his ‘0’ back from Ryan Garcia”
Conor McGregor in one of his conversations with the media asserted that he would be returning in August or September, “August or September I’d love,” However, will his injuries let him compete soon enough? Only time will tell. What’s your take on the situation? State your thoughts in the comments below.
