“A 78 year old multiple billionaire he should be on a yacht on the med touring golf courses. But he is not. He is in Pennsylvania spitting out bullets! Running for the love of his country! God speed Donald! God bless the United States,” Conor McGregor said of Donald Trump after the assassination attempt on him last year. That should tell you everything about ‘Mystic Mac’s views on the incumbent US President.
And the feeling is mutual. Trump called the former UFC champ his ‘favorite Irishman’ in a recent interview. But for those who still had any doubts about the bromance between the two men, McGregor visiting the White House for St. Patrick’s Day on Monday to meet Trump should clear up those doubts. Donald Trump and Conor McGregor love and admire each other!
And that is apparently not going down well with motor-mouth former UFC middleweight champion, Sean Strickland, who took to X and essentially trashed the Irishman as a drug addict.

“Conor in the white house…. The price of c–e is about soar…… Buy low sell high 👊,” Strickland wrote.

Strickland, like McGregor, is a fervent Trump supporter, especially in the run-up to the 2024 Presidential election. But it seems the UFC middleweight star doesn’t really think McGregor, with all the controversies surrounding him, deserves to visit the White House and meet the President.

Or maybe it’s not that complicated and Strickland’s just having a laugh—which if it was the case, he should have done a better job. But we appreciate the effort. After all, not everyone is as funny, quick, and witty as Conor McGregor. As for ‘Tarzan’ implying McGregor is addicted to the white powder, well, you can watch any of ‘Mystic Mac’s recent interviews and make up your mind. But, what we do know for sure is that ‘Mystic Mac’ has very high aspirations and perhaps a meeting with Trump would be the first step in an entirely new journey for McGregor.

Trump meeting could be the first step in Conor McGregor’s realizing his political aspirations
“Ireland needs an active President employed wholly by the people of Ireland. It is me. I am the only logical choice. 2025 is upcoming,” McGregor wrote on X last September. So when ‘Mystic Mac’ took to the White House press podium to chew out the Irish government, no one was really surprised.

“What is going on in Ireland is a travesty. Our government is the government of zero action with zero accountability… Ireland is at the cusp of potentially losing its Irishness… [due to the] illegal immigration racket,” the Dubliner told the White House press corps.
McGregor is also expected to meet Trump during his visit. And all of this evidence, many fans feel, points to ‘The Notorious’ wanting to run for office. If he can convince Trump and get the US President’s endorsement, that would certainly be a good start to ‘Mystic Mac’s political career. If that is what the Irishman wants to do next.
