Can McGregor still be a top contender, or is his time in the UFC over?

Conor McGregor has been in a tight spot for a long time now. He just revealed through his X account that he still has no fights confirmed! ‘The Notorious’ has not been inside the octagon since he broke his leg while fighting Dustin Poirier.  After that, he was supposed to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 but as we know, he hurt his toe. Now the former dual-weight champ is desperate for a date and is giving every proof to show that he is more than ready to step into the octagon!

Despite wanting to fight in December, UFC head honcho Dana White had other plans.  The boss announced that he would be fighting in 2025 but nothing has been specified. McGregor revealed more about the scenario by showing his PED test results, sparring videos and even asking Turki Alalsikh for help.

‘Mystic Mac’ decided to take matters into his own hands and post on X. He uploaded a sparring video and wrote, “Let’s launch a few of these in live play! Come on guys, let’s go! FREE THE MAC!” This was a follow-up to another post about his incessant dr** testing to stay updated for a fight. McGregor informed, “Most tested athlete on the @ufc roster x2. I deserve my fight date! #CleanAthlete.”

Conor McGregor is the most tested athlete right now and yet has no date

The UFC dru* testing database shows that McGregor is the most tested athlete on the roster. He offered 11 separate samples in 2024 alone and now wants a date from Dana White. He uploaded a video recently where he was whacking a young fighter with a massive overhand left. Despite all his efforts, there was no answer from Dana White so he even went to Turki Alalshikh.

Sheikh Turki Alalshikh, the Chairman of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority, was in the limelight after Noche UFC. McGregor took that chance to address him and ask for dates. The fighter even said during the BKFC 66 conference that he had been tested 13 times for doping and yet was without a date. He said, “Yet, I struggle to get a date, so you know, I’ve talked to Sheikh Turki and said, ‘Sheikh Turki, can you assist me here?’ you know.”

McGregor is trying every trick in the book but Dana White has still not confirmed a date even though McGregor is ready to fight Chandler. The question remains, will McGregor come back soon? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
