Joe Rogan has done a lot to create his own empire. But what could be a greater empire than his own children? Rogan grew up experiencing a tough childhood. He struggled with poverty and needed to work as hard as possible to find his way out. This became his drive.

His children have it the other way around. With millions in his pocket, Rogan’s family is as comfortable as they can get. However, this hasn’t stopped his children from being as driven as their father. So what’s the difference here? Perhaps there is none. Here’s what Rogan had to say about it all.

Rogan understands the struggle. But he also understands that his kids practically have none. Especially when it comes to financial freedom, his kids are comfortable. However, their drive is still “insane”. In an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the podcaster compared the childhoods of himself and his daughters.

“I had a drive from poverty,” said Rogan. “And lot of stuff that was wrong with my childhood. That seemed to be, I had this need to prove myself. She doesn’t have any of those problems but she also has this insane drive. It’s  weird . . . seems to be very different from most kids.”

Rogan’s two daughters are Lola and Rose. He also has a stepdaughter named Kayja. He and his wife have clearly raised them into motivated teens who try their best to keep learning and getting better. Rogan mentioned how one of his daughters is amazing at athletic activities while the other is just incredibly good at art.

Elite humble brag from Joe.

“They also have gifts, they seem to be clearly genetic. And artistic gifts that just seem extraordinary, that are unusual that I had when I was younger. I was an illustrator,” he said. “. . . that’s what I wanted to do. I wanted to be a comic book illustrator.” Clearly, a man of many talents raising daughters who are equally talented. Perhaps one day the podcaster will host an episode with his own family in the booth. What do you think of this idea?
