Time and time again, the UFC has proven to be one of the best, if not the best, at handling an event in case of any setbacks. The multi-billion dollar promotion prides itself in not making any compromise when it comes to giving the fans what they want. And Dana White is one man the UFC can give credit to.

The CEO and former president of UFC, Dana White, has most certainly proven his capabilities to fight fans. He recently made last-minute arrangements to save the UFC 294 card after it lost fighters from both the main and co-main events. White somehow made the card into one of the most hyped-up cards of the year by setting up some amazing last-minute fights. The president of the UFC has now managed to do it again for UFC 295.

Dana White commented on the unfortunate series of injuries that occurred during the past two events. White stated, “I mean this has been a trend lately. Unfortunately this happened to us back in like 13 or 14 too”. UFC 295 lost its main attraction and main event which was Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight title. However, it wasn’t something to really worry about.

White is a seasoned promoter and is capable enough to deal with any sort of setbacks. He complimented the promotion and fighters, stating, “This is a very well-oiled machine. We pull stuff together and obviously, the fighters for stepping up to the plate the way that they all have is unbelievable.”

Even though the UFC lost its main event for the card, White and the promotion fixed a UFC interim heavyweight title bout between Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich.

Will the future interim champ affect the Jones and Miocic fight?

The UFC fixed an interim title fight between two heavyweight prospects, Aspinall and Pavlovich, for the co-main event. The CEO praised the fight stating, “For people who really know the fight game, this is a bada** heavyweight fight”. But how would it affect the Jones vs Miocic fight?

Dana White assured the fans that the Miocic vs Jones fight is a priority. He said, “They possibly could defend an interim belt but Stipe and Jones’s fight needs to happen”. This might also imply that the interim champ might wait around to fight the winner of Jones vs. Miocic. Or like White stated, the UFC might have two heavyweight champions till a unification fight happens.
