‘Commitment Issues’ – Alex Pereira’s Girlfriend Merle Posts a Cryptic Message Amid Rumors About Breakup

Alex Pereira, the formidable force known for his knockout prowess in the UFC, is finding himself in the spotlight not just for his combat skills but also for personal relationship challenges. Despite being one of the most intimidating fighters in the Octagon, Pereira’s recent playful fake marriage proposal to his girlfriend Merle has taken an unexpected turn!

While neither party has officially addressed the split, his girlfriend recently shared a cryptic message on her Instagram that seems to hint at the same. She even quoted the song ‘Commitment Issues’ by Central Cee as a reference to the situation!

Merle shares hints on Instagram amidst rumors of a split with Alex Pereira 

Amidst multiple reports of their breakup, Merle and Pereira have unfollowed each other on Instagram, taking the additional step of deleting pictures of their time together. As such, his partner recently shared an intriguing message on her social media that has led to curiosity amongst the fans.

She posted a caption with a picture of herself which stated, “The power of now…” The post appears to be a hint at her current relationship status.

It’s interesting to note that she had also recently shared the song ‘Commitment Issues’ with her followers as well. The lyrics of the song may be a reference to the situation as there have been no official statements released by either party so far.

As fans await potential insights or official statements, the personal lives of fighters like Alex Pereira continue to intertwine with their public personas, creating narratives that extend beyond the boundaries of the Octagon. And despite not having addressed the reports surrounding his break-up as of yet, Pereira recently clarified the rumors around his move up to heavyweight to challenge for a third belt!

Pereira dismisses rumors of him fighting at UFC 300

‘Poatan’s recent win over Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295 secured him the light heavyweight title, adding to his impressive resume which includes the UFC middleweight title as well! But the 36-year-old recently stirred speculation about a potential third title in the heavyweight division! He made a cryptic Instagram post that seemingly hinted at an interim heavyweight title clash with champion Tom Aspinall at UFC 300!

However, in an interview with TheMacLife, Pereira expressed his willingness to face any opponent but stressed the need for strategic planning before venturing into heavyweight competition. He stated, “It’s not someday, just jump in on an adventure like that, I want to make the things on the right way. I can definitely fight at heavyweight, maybe something for the future”

While acknowledging his size and height advantages in the division, he also emphasized the importance of a methodical approach. As such, he reiterated that it is unlikely he will face Aspinall at the UFC 300 event.
