Hollywood producer Jon Peters was on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘ last month. He produced films like ‘A Star is Born’, ‘Man of Steel’, ‘Madonna: Celebration – The Video Collection’, and many more. On the personal front, Peters is known to have been married to Pamela Anderson for 12 days in 2020.

However, one of the major things Peters is passionate about is the Ultimate Fighting Championship. This could give him an edge over turning it into a film. So why has he not done it yet? On podcast episode #1871, Peters divulged his ambition to create a movie on the UFC and the challenges he faced.
Jon Peters told Joe Rogan his vision for a UFC movie
Peters revealed to Rogan on the podcast that he had approached Dana White. He said, “I went to Dana years ago and I said, ‘Listen, I wanna do your movie.’”
Acknowledging the UFC’s rich history, Rogan enquired if the UFC could be encapsulated into a two-hour movie. Peters replied it would not be possible because of the many stories that would have to be told. “You’d have to tell the story from the Gracie’s angle…and the street fights…and the fourteen-hour fights,” Peters said.
Thus, the commentator immediately questioned Peters’ idea of a two-hour movie on UFC’s rich history. After all, it would take so much more time to cover the UFC. Even the producer agreed with Rogan that there would have to be a very specific angle to it.
Peters described his vision for the ideal UFC movie. “That’s the thing I wanna do. And I can involve Dana, and you, and all that stuff, but I wanna tell it from Brazil and then bring it back”, he explained.
While a movie wouldn’t be able to cover all the intriguing aspects of the history of the UFC, it would sure be interesting to watch for MMA fans.
Rogan and White in the movie
Further, in the discussion, Peters described how the movie would feature White and Rogan. That’s when the UFC color commentator revealed that he would have to leave if the UFC’s President left the promotion.

“Well, if Dana leaves. If Dana leaves, I’m gone. That’s in my contract.”
However, both White and Rogan have been associated with the promotion for a very long time. While their exit will be a sad moment for many, they won’t be leaving the promotion soon.
