UFC’s Conor McGregor and Kamaru Usman have been feuding for a while; especially after the former said he was interested in the welterweight division. The 170-weight class champion feels different athletes have different rules in the UFC.

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ recently appeared in the ‘I Am Athlete’ podcast where he spoke about McGregor. The champion revealed that he doesn’t think Conor McGregor can ever hold a title again.

In the same conversation, the 20-1-0 record holder shared his thoughts on double standards in the game. As reported by ‘MMA News‘, Usman said, “There’s different rules. There’s different rules for different people.”

“McGregor can do the whole Floyd (Mayweather) — Floyd been done this. Floyd been wrote the playbook on all of it. McGregor comes out and does it, and guess what? He’s even bigger. It’s different rules for different people.”

“I’ve traveled the world to where I understand it’s different rules for different people. Of course, color plays a role in it…,” said the athlete.

However, the fighter accepts such differences and limitations that come with the sport.

In addition to this, the fighter explained how he prefers to keep competition respectful. Usman revealed he would rather stay true to himself than go for some extra cash.

While the welterweight champion has headlined several events in his UFC career, he hasn’t been as vocal or brash as his Irish rival.

The Notorious‘ wishes to fight and capture a third title. However, many are skeptical about this, as Usman has remained undefeated most of his professional MMA career.

The Nigerian was previously on Joe Rogan‘s JRE podcast, where he explained how a potential fight between him and McGregor would go.

According to him, it would be similar to the McGregor-Khabib Nurmagomedov fight. But at 170 lbs.

Usman was sure he would dominate the 22-6 record holder on the ground as well as the striking department.
