Meanwhile, he recently made an appearance on ‘The MMA Hour’, where he revealed that a former interim champion is his dream opponent.

‘The Future’ recently called out Stephen Thompson for his next fight. He wants that fight to take place on December 16th, when Conor McGregor is also rumored to make his return. However, he still revealed that there is another fighter that he is looking forward to fighting the most.

Colby Covington is the opponent Ian Garry wants to fight

When Ariel Helwani asked who the 25-year-old Irish fighter’s dream opponent was, Ian Garry said, “Colby Covington.” Although, he’d love to face Colby Covington in Ireland, ‘The Future’ believes that he’s going to have more fun fighting him in his hometown of Miami. “I will have more fun doing that in Miami, in his backyard,” said the undefeated fighter.

Not only that, but Garry also stated that he would have no problem playing the villain. Moreover, he even wishes to slap Covington in front of all his fans. “Walk into Miami, slap the mouth off him in front of all of his fans. I have no problem playing the heel,” said Ian Garry.
