A friendship turned sour, teammates turned enemies, Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington were thought to be inseparable mates in the UFC. But was once a wholesome tale has now turned completely south.

For unknown reasons, the once a great friendship is now being dragged through the mud in the media. Nevertheless, the two fighters have decided to take their issues out in the octagon on UFC 272.

In an interview with Marc Raimondi for ESPN, Jorge Masvidal was asked about what the news headline would be like, post-Masvidal‘s fight with Covington.

Masvidal gave a chilling response to it, stating, “Colby in critical condition, might not fully make it.” In all honesty, it feels as though wars have been settled for fewer words.
