The T-Mobile Arena witnessed some of the brightest stars from the sports and entertainment world gathered to witness the historic showdown between two undefeated boxing juggernauts, Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis. Amongst the many high-profile attendees in this Las Vegas extravaganza was none other than the UFC welterweight star, Colby Covington.

The night culminated in a career-defining victory for the 28-year-old ‘Tank’. The American delivered a devastating body shot in the 7th round to defeat the Mexican boxer. He secured his record at an impressive 29-0-0 while handing Garcia his first-ever loss. This soon became a hot topic in the combat sports community, with a lot of dialogue flowing as a result of the outcome.

Covington, one of the spectators, certainly relished the moment as he enjoyed the spectacle of the match. It wasn’t just the fight that lit up Covington’s night, but also the moment he shared with the boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, cementing it as a night to remember for the welterweight star.

Colby Covington certainly had the time of his life at the event and kept the fans in the loop. The 35-year-old took to his Instagram and posted a picture of himself from the match, beaming with joy.

Under this post, the Californian MMA fighter wrote, “Special Guest Enforcer 🇺🇸🦅🥊🏆 #DavisGarcia”.

But that wasn’t the end of his epic night, as the former UFC interim welterweight champion even snapped a picture with the undefeated boxing great Floyd Mayweather. Taking to his Instagram story, Covington posted a message that simply read, “The 🐐”, accompanied by a picture of himself and Mayweather, sporting broad smiles.

It’s no surprise that the 50-0 boxer has taken Gervonta Davis under his wing and has been training him, given his impressive undefeated record. And Davis certainly didn’t disappoint, mirroring Mayweather’s unbeaten streak with his latest feat over Ryan Garcia.
