Former interim UFC welterweight champion, Colby Covington, who sat down for a chat at the MMA Roasted, discussed many things. Among these, was the subject of how he is living his dream life after coming from such humble beginnings. He touched on the time he was invited to the White House as a UFC interim champion.
‘Chaos’ said, “Dude, this this this journey for me, it has been so surreal. Like I could have never dreamed or imagined, like I always dreamed of doing big things. But I could never imagine that you know, I’d be sitting in the White House in the Oval Office next to a sitting President Donald Trump.”

“And getting calls every fight…having friends like little pump, having friends like little Wayne, you know, little Wayne’s gonna walk me out to my next fight. You know, I grew up, I grew up listening to his music, he inspired it to his music growing up, the sky’s the limit, the limit, the limit,” he further added.
‘Chaos’, one of the top welterweights in the UFC, is a phenomenal fighter in his own right. His body of work in the promotion speaks for itself. Also, his controversial persona outside of fighting has made him the household name among MMA fanatics that he is today.
Is Colby Covington vs Kamaru Usman the fight to make next?
Covington is expected to fight ‘The Nigerian Nightmare‘ next. The duo previously collided at UFC 245 in 2019. Usman came out on top, earning a fifth-round finish over ‘Chaos‘. However, it was a very competitive fight and dead even on the judges’ scorecards leading into the final round.

Also, given the heated build-up and back-and-forth they had, one might argue that the UFC should re-book the contest as fans would love to see that fight go down. However, nothing is booked yet. One will have to wait and see how things turn out.
Do you think Lil Wayne will walk Covington out for his fight against Usman? Or will it be another fight?
