Colby Covington is all about putting up a show. The American promises a spectacle of a match on the 16th of December against Leon Edwards. But does he have as much support as he believes? For ‘Chaos’ it’s all about the fans and putting people on seats at the arena. Call it a gimmick, it doesn’t matter because Covington isn’t one to change his mind. Case in point, his opinion of Leon Edwards.

According to him, fans aren’t exactly rooting for Leon Edwards. Edwards hasn’t been doing as much publicity as Covington or so he believes. However, the champ is a challenge for Covington whether he admits it or not. Covington’s wrestling might not be enough for Edwards’ precise striking. Or will fans’ support be enough for Covington to finally get his hands on that belt?

“. . . At the end of the day this is about pleasing the fans. If the fans don’t rally around you and they don’t give you the support then UFC is not going to care for you. You have to drum up that support one way or another and he hasn’t been able to do that. So I’m here to rectify this division.”
“. . . and December 16th it’s going to be a show bro, I promise you that”. Clearly, Covington has his sight straight on his goals. The more entertaining a fighter, the more Dana White and company love them. Do you think Covington’s support will help him get to a good standing if he wins?

Colby Covington is a great prospect for the welterweight title. Edwards snatched it from the hands of Kamaru Usman and has managed to keep it to himself for well over a year. If Covington manages to clinch it from his grips, all his promises to his fans in America would come true. What else does he have to look forward to? Well, his favorite icon showing up to the match might be one thing.

“At Trump International, it’s an honor to have him. It gonna be a great fight and I will be there. I will be there with Dana White and we will make our walk but I think you’re gonna do great, champ. he’s a much better fighter than a golfer.” Said Trump. Will Covington crumble to performance pressure in front of his so called hero? Or will he dominate Edwards? Only time will tell.
