Jorge Masvidal has sent a flurry of allegations against his former roommate Colby Covington, accusing him of some serious crimes just before their main event fight at UFC 272.
‘Gamebred’ and ‘Chaos’ started their UFC journey on a very dream-like plot. Both of them rose to the top of the welterweight rankings and became stars of the sport. However, amidst this stardom, somewhere, their friendship spoiled and now, the situation is so dire that they can’t even talk straight with each other.

Adding to this story is a serious allegation made by Masvidal, in a recent interview with Marc Raimondi of ESPN. During the chat, Masvidal accused Covington of stealing from former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who is also a former roommate of ‘Chaos’.
“The way he would treat his family was a very big indicator, you know. And then Jon Jones warned me numerous times, you know. Me and Jon Jones weren’t even cool like that. We hadn’t spoken too much, but he sent a couple of messages to me via our managers at that time like ‘Man, watch this guy, he stole my clothes. My clothes don’t even fit him. He robbed me of money before he left the room. I never talked to him again,'” Masvidal said.
“And then Colby would just bat him out for Jon Jones always to me in the room, you know, like Jon Jones this, Jon Jones that,” he continued.
Jorge Masvidal says he will leave Colby Covington in a critical condition
In the same interview, ‘Gamebred’ was asked what will be the headline next morning when he and Covington are done with their fight. To this, Masvidal had a rather bemusing answer as he predicted the outcome of their grudge match.
Masvidal claimed he will leave Covington in a critical state after their fight and that ‘Chaos’ “might not fully make it” after he is done with him.
Who are the favorites at UFC 272?

In both of the fights, the younger of the lots are favored. ‘RDA’, being a former champion, is going to up against a knockout artist ‘Ataman’, who is on a five-fight winning streak.
On the other hand, fans favor Covington as he is more of a well-rounded fighter compared to Masvidal. Both Masvidal and Covington are coming out of a loss against the welterweight king Kamaru Usman. Masvidal lost to Usman at UFC 261, whereas Covington couldn’t get his hands raised at UFC 268.
