It looks like Conor McGregor will never have anything positive to say about Khabib Nurmagomedov, who bested him in 2018. He proved that during a recent livestream session, where he took as many jibes as he could at a few UFC fighters, including the Dagestani phenom. McGregor dropped some explosive remarks on Nurmagomedov’s recent $3 million debt controversy, labeling him as a “rat.”

There has been an ongoing chit-chat going around about the 29-0 legend regarding a tax discrepancy. Apparently, Khabib Nurmagomedov has been ordered to pay Russia’s tax collection agency a sum of ₽300 million ($3.3 million) owing to inconsistencies found in his business expenses, and Conor McGregor believes he deserves what’s coming to him.

‘The Notorious’ never hesitates to pounce on Khabib Nurmagomedov whenever he can. Having been dominated in their one-off fight back at UFC 229, Conor McGregor never ceases to spill some verbiage on the Hall of Famer. And when he came across this news about the Dagestan native’s $3 million debt, he unloaded on him.

“That’s typical rat behavior. Scurrying rat!… Two main events he has in the UFC. And he owes his b****cks to the Russian government,” Conor McGregor said. Furthermore, the Irish megastar gave his own take on ‘The Eagle’s controversy, while ideating that this problem could lead him back to the UFC.

“So he’s gonna pay his f***ing money that he owes instead of siphoning it out through to other countries. So, I’m ecstatic and delighted that that’s coming on top of him. And we all will welcome him back to the fight game, where he’s ran from.”

Conor McGregor seemed extremely overjoyed at this development and is waiting to see how this ends for Khabib Nurmagomedov. “It’s a rat trap. The rat trap has been set. So we’re excited about that and see where it goes… The fat rat we call him,” he added.

But guess what followed after that, ‘The Eagle’s former manager Ali Abdelaziz couldn’t stop from claiming back at McGregor. He seems to have just had it with his words.

Ali Abdelaziz warns ‘The Notorious’ of dire consequences

Conor McGregor has not only left a sour taste in his rival fighters’ mouths but also some non-fighting MMA figures as well. And among them is famous MMA manager, Ali Abdelaziz. Both personalities have exchanged heated barbs on several occasions, be it face-to-face or on social media. However, McGregor’s insults on his former client and friend, Khabib Nurmagomedov, spelled an end to Abdelaziz’s patience as he went on to issue a warning to ‘The Fighting Irish’.

“[Conor McGregor] you keep talking about Khabib you forgot what happened to you and your team be careful what do you wish for because none of you guys are safe if you keep talking,” Ali Abdelaziz tweeted. He was clearly not happy with Conor McGregor maligning Khabib Nurmagomedov’s name even after so many years.

Khabib Nurmagomedov normally ignores reacting to such comments from any fighter, let alone Conor McGregor. But if he does decide to respond, it will be interesting to see what follows. But what are your thoughts on this situation and McGregor’s verbiage on ‘The Eagle’? Drop your comments below.
