UFC is undeniably a demanding career, with the physical and mental strain it places on fighters often going unnoticed by the public. Even though many UFC fighters enjoy the financial rewards of their success, the pressure and toll of the sport are ever-present. That’s why having a strong support system is crucial—and for Ciryl Gane, that support comes from his wife, Julie Gane.

Julie has been by Ciryl’s side through it all, offering unwavering encouragement during the most challenging moments, whether it’s navigating the stress of weight cuts or simply enduring the daily grind of intense training. Recently, Julie once again showed her support for Ciryl in a heartfelt message shared on Instagram.

Ciryl Gane is preparing for his 13th fight in the UFC, and this one is extra special—it’s a rematch against the towering Alexander Volkov. The two first faced off in 2021, and now, with years of experience under his belt, Gane is stepping back into the Octagon to settle the score.

Throughout his journey, Gane has been supported by his wife, Julie, who is not only an event planner in the MMA world but also a skilled wedding planner. Recently, Julie shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse on her Instagram story, showing her husband’s weigh-in preparations with a heartfelt message in French, “Meeting Sunday morning around 4:00.” Thankfully, Gane made weight and is now fully prepared to take on Volkov at UFC 310.

It’s been almost a year since the 34-year-old has gone inside the cage, his last win coming over Serghei Spivak in Paris in September 2023. With a layoff like that, Gane is eager to get back in the Octagon. On top of that, he was also on the wrong side of a pretty awful incident in Paris where his wife was once again his pillar throughout the ordeal.

Ciryl Gane’s victory over Serghei Spivak at UFC Fight Night 226 was overshadowed by a traumatic incident back home in Paris. Just hours after his fight at the Accor Arena, police were called to his apartment in Nogent-sur-Marne, a suburb of Paris, in response to a reported burglary. The thieves had broken in and stolen valuable items, including a Rolex watch and jewelry, totaling an estimated $162,000.

Gane shared the unsettling experience in an interview with MMA Hour, revealing that it was his wife, Julie, who discovered the burglary. “My wife saw that at first”, Gane explained. “She went to the babysitter, dropped off the girls, and when she came back, she found the mess. But she kept it to herself. After the fight, when we went to bed, she told me about it. She did well because I didn’t see anything. I didn’t notice it at all.”, the Frenchman further added.

Though Gane is known for keeping his personal life private, this incident highlights the deep love and trust he has for his wife and children. Gane had previously posted a heartfelt image on Instagram in August 2021, showing him holding their newborn baby, with the caption, “2nd win.” The post was later deleted, but it was clear that his family was an important part of his life.

Now, a year after the burglary, Gane is back in the Octagon, ready for his rematch against Alexander Volkov at UFC 310. With the support of his family, including Julie, who has been his rock during difficult times, Gane is focused on securing another victory. Can the Frenchman prevail and come out on top?
