UFC heavyweight contender, Ciryl Gane, took to Twitter and responded to a call-out by fellow title hopeful, Derrick Lewis. Chiefly, ‘The Black Beast’ came out and called ‘Bon Gamin’ Gane to put on a scrap with him at the earliest. Both competed in the month of February and walked away with defining victories to put themselves closer to UFC gold.
The fight will serve as a title eliminator, as both heavyweights are right on the cusp for a title opportunity. There isn’t room for everyone at the top, and both Gane and Lewis seem to understand that. Moreover, it’s a pleasant change to see top fighters not looking to squat on their rankings spot and instead duel it out.
Ok @Thebeast_ufc , I am down for it. @ufc @Mickmaynard2 Let's book it! #AnyOneAnyWhere https://t.co/XilLlJb1RE

UFC heavyweight potential match-up: Derrick Lewis vs Ciryl Gane
The Houston native in Lewis is fresh off a scintillating KO win over Curtis Blaydes from their February 2021 bout. ‘The Black Beast’ landed an uppercut flush to the jaw of Blaydes and sent him crashing onto the canvas. ‘Razor’ Blaydes had to eat some follow-up shots, as Lewis was truly in beast mode when he landed the killing blow.

Moreover, the KO was yet another highlight-reel finish in a catalog that extends down the road. Not to mention, Derrick Lewis is the official KO king of the heavyweights with the most knockouts. He’s frequently been KO’ing his competition right from his early UFC run and believes his time is now for UFC gold.

Ciryl Gane is fresh off his decision win over Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the main event of their contest. The Frenchman won the fight in a dominant manner and ‘Bigi Boy’ Rozenstruik looked more like a deer in the headlights. However, Gane drew plenty of criticism from fans and UFC President Dana White for his somewhat reserved performance.

Gane will be excited to get an opportunity to square up against a fighter who will definitely bring the heat. Fighting Lewis will afford ‘Bon Gamin’ a chance to show that he’s a finisher who deserves to be next in line. However, the former title challenger has proven that he’s a tough night in the office and this narrative has fans excited.
