Dominick Reyes is on a 4-match loss streak and many have started speculating about his future in the sport. Although he has a record of 12 wins and 4 losses, Reyes’ recent losing performances and hesitation in throwing punches toward his opponents have failed to impress fans and critics alike.

The 33-year-old California native recently took to Instagram to share a photo of him about to undergo surgery on his shoulder. This could mean ‘The Devastator’ may be out of action for a considerable amount of time.

Dominick Reyes has not revealed any details about his injury. He also didn’t mention any timeframe as to when he might return to the octagon. He posted: “Time to get fixed up so I can get back at it!.” While there were many fans who wished ‘The Devastator’ well, there were a lot of fans who took a jibe at Reyes for his recent performances.

Some Instagram took a shot at the 33-year-old fighter and told him to get his chin checked out after his recent knockout defeats. One user even went as far as to joke about his brain getting damaged and that he should get that checked too.

It has been almost four years since Dominick Reyes won a match in the UFC. His last win came in 2019 at UFC on ESPN: Reyes vs. Weidman. Reyes was presented with the opportunity to grasp the lightweight title two times. But he couldn’t make use of those opportunities as Jan Blachowicz and Jon Jones got the better of him.
