The rumors were initially prompted by prominent journalist Ariel Helwani’s tweet. Helwani took to Twitter and stated that Oliveira will be headlining the January UFC event in Toronto against Islam Makhachev. Oliveira was there in the UFC Sao Paulo event and he was inquired about the happening and non happening about his rematch with Makhachev.

‘Do Bronx’ stated that it might happen in January as this was the timeline. He stated, “we just heard this from in the locker room you know people start asking us on the messages but we this is the first time we hear about it but uh that’s the timeline January maybe so who knows”.
