The merger between WWE and the UFC has created shock waves in the sporting industry. The two giants of the sport have been at the pinnacle of their sporting class for decades. Certainly, this has been one of the biggest mergers in the history of the respective sports. Certainly, fans will also be excited to see if Dana White and Vince McMahon work together in the future on any project.
A UFC legend has praised White since the merger by comparing his rise to that of the sports entertainment giant’s rise. Furthermore, he added his own opinion on what he thinks of the recent merger.
Chael Sonnen praises Dana White after merger with WWE

Sonnen praised the value that White has created for the MMA promotion in an interview with ‘The Schmo’. The former UFC middleweight looked to be in a praiseworthy mood for his former boss after the merger with WWE.
Sonnen added, “For that 12 billion that UFC is worth you could have had the WWE and had him throw the Lakers in. Just so you could understand. You’d have them two for what Dana has turned the company in two decades man. It’s shocking.”
Sonnen also revealed that Ari Emanual, the CEO of Endeavor values WWE close to $9 billion while valuing UFC at $12 billion. However, he also compared that it only took UFC 22 years to reach such an enormous valuation.

Sonnen also spoke about his thoughts regarding the merger. He added, “It’s very interesting. I’ve got to tell you, I think there’s some really big risks being made there to watch”
Furthermore, the former UFC middleweight also spoke about Vince McMahon’s latest controversial exit from the WWE. However, he also praised McMahon, “Vince McMahon sold a 144 thousand tickets over the weekend. 72 thousand, he did it back-to-back nights. I mean that it’s very exciting.”

Lastly, Sonnen added, “WWF that goes back to 1983 and that’s just Vince McMahon, Vince’s dad had before that. I’m just sharing with you when you do look at what Dana has done in 20 years and has got a valuation of three billion more recently.”
