Conor McGregor is always a hot topic for discussion in the world of sports. He is the biggest star to come out of mixed martial arts and has helped the sport to reach new heights. He is someone people tune in to watch and he never disappoints.
However, the Irishman is currently sidelined because of an injury. Everybody is waiting for his return eagerly, but who he will return against is not yet decided. There are talks about him challenging for the title as soon as he comes back. But not everyone loves that idea. One such guy is the former UFC fighter, Chael Sonnen. He got vocal about this in a recent video.
He said, “I don’t love the idea if Conor wants to be the champion of the world, which is what he says. I don’t love the idea that he gets thrown right back to the wolves, right off the bat. That is going to be something that Conor’s gonna have to deal with and we’re all gonna have to deal with. Because he’s too big of a draw. He commands too much attention and too much money to fight anybody other than a top guy.”

They call it a tune-up fight… But they are talking about giving Conor a world title fight right when he comes back. That conversation did not go away. That got called to Dana White one time and Dana did not dismiss it,” he added.
