Trouble seems to find Jon Jones in one way or the other. The UFC heavyweight champion was recently accused of allegedly threatening a drug-testing official which made waves in the MMA community. Things seem to be getting much worse for Jones, as recent reports suggest that he could be summoned to the court due to a couple of charges.
Jon Jones recently released CCTV footage of his house from 30th March, which was the day the drug testing official paid him a visit. He denied having threatened the official in any way, but that does not seem to be enough for him to avoid legal action. The Albuquerque Police Department has launched an investigation into this matter, and an excerpt from the police report regarding the accusations of Jones’ alleged assault has come to light.

The report’s excerpt indicated that two Drug Free Sport International officials visited Jon Jones at his residence in Alburquerque on 30th March. One of the officials, Crystal Martinez, claimed that the UFC champion was cooperating without any hassles at the beginning, but he was struggling to provide them with a urine sample. That led the officials to ask him for a blood test instead, making him more unsettled. ‘Bones’ did not seem to appreciate the arrival of the officials at 4 PM local time, leading him to sound off on them. “Why you f***ing people come so early? Do you know what happens to people who come to my house? They end up dead.” Jones told the officials according to the police report.
A summons will be issued to Jones on accusations of assault and interference with communications per the incident report.

Jon Jones’s behavior apparently made the officials terrified. He even threatened to sue them while also taking Martinez’s phone away and putting it in his pocket. But later he gave her phone back, and the test ended in a premature manner. Following the incident, the drug testing officials went on to file a report to the police. Jones was charged with assaulting the drug testing official and interfering with communications. As such, he could be summoned to the court for these charges. Meanwhile, ‘Bones’ opened up on the allegations with a message on Instagram.
‘Bones’ denies all accusations
Along with the CCTV video, Jon Jones also shared a message to his fans and followers regarding the accusations by the officials from Drug Free Sport International. He clearly denied those accusations, as we have mentioned earlier. In addition to that, the CCTV he posted also shows that the officials did not seem to be in any kind of trouble as they left Jones’s house and even high-fived the UFC champion.
