UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is a terrifying figure inside the cage. Friends admire him and enemies fear him, but behind that tough tattooed exterior, is a kind and gentle soul, as was evident recently. The fighter who most recently defeated Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 has been enjoying life outside the cage of late and decided to partake in a heartwarming event.

His humility and friendliness was on display when he met fans and even tattooed one of them in Australia. But his kinder and more benevolent side was evident when he went to visit a cancer hospital recently. ‘Poatan’ uploaded pictures of the same on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote about his experience.

The news spread like wildfire, and everyone flocked to see his update. The UFC champion wrote, “ We have moments of joy and sadness. This moment was very difficult for me. I visited the hospital and saw children with cancer. I was touched that a boy trained in Muay Thai was forced to give up because of cancer.” Pereira is known to do charitable work whenever he gets a chance and previously too, he has helped people who were in need.

Fans were moved by this gesture and once again the admirers of ‘Poatan’ had cause to celebrate their champion after they saw the latest post.
